With the start “stolen” since August 2020 (an action we wrote about here), the 2021 edition had to be organized in a separate format. Because we did not know the context in which we can organize, given the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided that it is better to share the activities that we had to carry out at the 5 centers for institutionalized children in Râmnicu Sărat – Buzău County, during 3 weekends in July. We chose the weekends of July 9-11, July 16-18 and July 23-25, 2021.
After making sure that the interiors of the 5 houses: Azur, Magnolia, Orhideea, Campionii and Învigătorii are clean and all bathrooms completely renovated (changed sanitary ware, new sanitary ware, new tiles), but also the roofs and collection systems for the replaced rainwater, we decided that we could take care of the exterior of the houses and their courtyards.
Following the evaluations, we needed 50 volunteers for each stage and we opened the registration on the site. Once again we have realized how receptive the Romanian motorcycle community is when it comes to doing good and helping those in need! In less than 1 hour and a half, all the seats for the 3 weekends were occupied!! Thank you!

As on all weekends, we established our “headquarters” on the municipal stadium, at the entrance to the town. For this we thank the City Hall of Râmnicu Sărat.
For this weekend we had planned to raise the fences, paint the fence posts, install the shading net on the fences, repair the awnings behind the houses and remove the old tiles from the steps at the entrance to the houses.
Not only did we succeed in everything we had planned with the fences, moreover, with the help of the volunteers we started whitewashing the exterior walls, after the primer had been applied beforehand.
July 16 - 18, 2021
It was the busiest weekend.
It was the weekend when we had to concrete the courtyards of the centers. We prepared the place for the arrival of the concrete slabs: we leveled the ground, we put the stone and the net for the reinforcement, we mounted the formwork for the actual pouring of the concrete.
Everything was counterclockwise because we didn’t want the arrival of the numbers to catch us unprepared, and the concrete to start hardening.
It came out like a book! When the concrete trucks arrived, the volunteers waited, lined up, wheelbarrows in hand! A determination and a rare work ethic, although the thermometers indicated no less than 38 degrees around noon !!!
July 23 - 25, 2021
The weekend in which we would finish what we had proposed with the 5 centers for institutionalized children from Râmnicu Sărat.
It was going to be the weekend with the biggest impact on the daily lives of the children living in the cottages.
In addition to completing the renovation of the centers, we planted flowers and created playgrounds for children in every yard of the centers! I brought them tennis tables, set up basketball hoops, badminton courts, punching bags, but also a shade with tables and benches, where children can do their homework or read books.
Moreover, at the stadium, I had prepared a surprise party for the children! Călare pe două roți offered each child a BFH T-shirt. Clownul Bozo would greet them with all sorts of games that made the little ones happy. Our friends, Caudiu Cîrțînă and Anamaria Rusu, introduced the children to theater and did diction lessons with them. It was a great party!
