We started pouring the foundation of the Cabin with Astronomical Observatory on July 18, 2022 and inaugurated it on June 18, 2023. With the help of our sponsors (the entire list is at the end of this video), with donations, with merch bought by you, with tickets bought at Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest, with sms to 8844 or with the gentle arms of more than 400 volunteers, we brought our first project started from 0 to completion. The Bikers for Humanity Romania investment was over 190,000 euros and thousands of hours of work, both on and off the site. It wasn’t easy at all and we admit that we lost our optimism a few times along the way, but your encouragement and kind words made us find the necessary resources to move forward. Hundreds of children from underprivileged backgrounds, who are cared for with such dedication by the friends from Asociația Casa Bună (they supported us enormously, they did not leave us alone!), will have a special place just for them, there in Nucsoara (Arges)! A dream place with a hardworking mayor so dedicated to the commune he leads. An adventure to tell the grandchildren. During 11 months we worked, we laughed, we were sad, then happy, we dreamed and it came true. Thank you for joining us in this story. How?, but Why?
The idea of building this chalet burst to life in June 1st, 2021, when on Children’s Day, 30 motorcyclist visited 70 tots from Slatina village, in Argeș County, near Nucșoara. Our friends from Casa Bună take care of this children. Casa Bună is an association with long experience, led by Valeriu Nicolae. Valeriu explained to us his intention to rise, in Nucșoara – Argeș County, a camp for the children with disadvantaged backgrounds, from all over the country. We loved the idea so much and we asked him to let us, the motorcyclist volunteers, be part of this beautiful enterprise.
At the end of October, we made the first visit on site, where we were to build “The chalet with astronomic observatory – Bikers for Humanity“. Those were the first steps of this beautiful dream. The architects team conceived the project and we strongly prepared for the construction yard.
The first stage had taken place in the third and the last weekend of July, 2022, when we accomplished the chalet’s foundation! There were 300 volunteers, motorcyclist supporters, which came from all over the country, and we managed to do everything we set out to do. Even more, besides pouring the foundation, along with the entire process of it, we also succeeded: to clean the entire area where the chalet will be located, completed the connection to the water and electricity network and raising the fence. Trenches were dug with spades and pickaxes. In addition, a team of volunteers went through Nucșoara and wormed dozens of dogs, with or without an owner.
It was a real success!

To volunteer motorcyclists
On Friday, July 15, 2022, we meet in Nucșoara, Argeș County, in this place, which will be our headquarters for the whole weekend:
Everyone comes as they finish their work with jobs, family and other obligations. We will set up our tents and set out in detail on Saturday
We will start the construction works of the Bikers For Humanity Chalet with astronomical observatory:
– we prepare the ready-shaped iron for the foundation;
– we will pour the concrete from the pipes with the help of the pumps;
– we will dismantle the old fence and build a new one;
P.S. please do not forget to bring your protective equipment: safety helmet, gloves, boots.

In 2022, Bikers For Humanity joins the efforts initiated by the Casa Bună and Valeriu Nicolae Association to build a camp for the approximately 400 children in the care of those from Casa Bună, in Nucșoara, Argeș County.
Within this camp, Bikers For Humanity’s ambition is to build a cottage with living room, kitchen, bathrooms and sleeping areas, but perhaps the most important aspect is that this cottage will include an astronomical observatory! Thus, children will not only discover the world, but the entire UNIVERSE!
And this time Bikers For Humanity invites you to join us, so that we can give the children a chance, our hope for everyone!
