Casa Luminii Radovanu, la Călărași.
Today we felt the warmness!
Yes, it was sunny, but, the warmness we felt, was a bit different… We felt the warm joy of some elderly people which enjoyed so much, when they saw the Bikers for Humanity caravan on their doorstep!
Following the blood donation in Călărași, initiated by Bikers for Humanity Romania, every donor received meal vouchers. Furthermore, they decided to donate these thickets to Bikers for Humanity!
I said that if we still donated in Călărași County, we also need to identify some people who would need help in Călărași County!
Thus, we arrived at the Casa Luminii Radovanu, from the locality of Radovanu, Călărași county. Around 30 elderly people are cared for here, including some with disabilities. Generally, the community is self-sufficient, because they grow some vegetables, greens, fruits, but on a previous visit, they told us that they need some basic food and personal care products.
Said and done!
A few bikers went on a run the other day and bought the basic food that was needed: corn, flour, rice, beans, lentils, peas, pasta, oil, some fruits, but also other things needed for the daily food of the seniors.
For personal care and medical products we turned to the experts! As always, the friends from Farmacia Ana Maria immediately came to our aid and provided packages for each of those who live in the community of Radovanu. Thank you for being close to us!
When leaving, our hosts, with eyes wet with emotion but with a big smile on their faces, couldn’t stop thanking us and thanking you, because together we are Bikers for Humanity!
