Three legendary days at
Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest 2023
Last weekend, Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest took place at Brezoiul Lumii, the largest local rock festival in Romania, in the presence of thousands of people who gathered in the legendary place to meet 18 of the best local bands.
Between June 23 and 25, Brezoi became the epicenter of the rock community in Romania, especially those on two wheels. Three legendary festival days awaited the thousands of people who gathered in the natural setting that the area offers, which has become famous for the musical events that take place there. A variety of bands took to the stage, from very young ones to groups that have been playing for decades and whose hits have been passed down from generation to generation.
The first evening was mainly intended for younger bands and was crowned with a concert by Trooper Romania, the heavyweights of Romanian heavy metal. electric_humidity_ laudably broke the ice on the Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest 2023 stage, followed by rockers from Civic Rebels. They were followed by two slightly more experienced bands, but who still surprise us from day to day with how much they grow in their careers and in people’s hearts. ALTAR Romania performed a memorable show on the stage in Vâlcea county, unfortunately without the legendary Teo Peter, who, although he did not go on stage with his colleagues due to health problems, was backstage to support them, and his warm energy and contagious certainly helped. Bucium were also up to the task with a concert in which we enjoyed hearing both older songs from their discography and those from their latest album, „Zimbrul Alb”. The Bessarabians from Alternosfera heated up the atmosphere with an alternative rock setlist that the crowd enjoyed to the max. A chorus of voices rang out with them on songs like „Fântânile”, „Ploile nu vin” or „Flori de mai”.
The opening night ended with a really fiery show provided by Trooper. The heavyweights of Romanian heavy metal came with a surprise show for rock music fans gathered in Brezoi. Their concert brought many pyrotechnic effects that completed a remarkable atmosphere on the evening of Friday, June 23. Perhaps the most beautiful moment of this edition of the festival was when Cristian Hrubaru went on stage to officially hand them the title of Bikers For Humanity Ambassadors 2023, an honorary title given by the BFH team to a band as a sign of gratitude for all the support given by them on the two-wheeled charity ride of the last seven years of Bikers For Humanity’s existence. Trooper announced on stage Friday that they are offering the bass they used to record the ‘X’ album up for auction. It is now available on the official website of Bikers For Humanity, and the money obtained on it will go a long way towards the bikers’ charitable actions.
Saturday, June 25 meant an ideal combination of alternative and metal. The guys from Revolter, until recently Revolver, opened the second night with a force beyond expectations. The group made up of people who haven’t even reached the age of majority are among the most promising names of the new rock wave. They play heavy metal and if they keep it up, there’s a real chance we’ll be hearing from them in the future. That’s the nice thing about this festival, the fact that in addition to the names with resonance, the audience has the opportunity to see fresh bands, which they may not have heard of, but which remain in your memory once you give them a chance. In their continuation, ANTON offered another highlight of this year’s edition. After singing “Oglinda Timpului” with Cristian Hrubaru, the band, the Rock FM DJ and the large audience sang the Bikers For Humanity anthem loud and clear together. An emotional and unforgettable moment.
The line-up of the evening continued with the most beautiful sunset on the musical chords of the band Antract, who came with the most beloved songs from their discography. Once the sun went down, the stage was taken over by Romanian metal heavyweights, Bucovina. During the concert, Crivăț, the lead singer of the group, took a break between songs to give an emotional and beautiful speech about the work of the Bikers for Humanity volunteers and the efforts made by them to do as many charitable deeds as possible for the less fortunate.
The night ended with the electrifying shows of Dirty Shirt and Vița de Vie. Dirty Shirt got the crowd dancing to their folk rock beats and Vița de Vie sang in unison with those who couldn’t wait to hear live „Basul și cu toba mare” „Iamma”, „Luna și noi” and many more beloved hits.
The third evening, the closing one, was dedicated to the legends and immortals of Romanian rock. Gothic Romania, who have been playing hard rock in Romania for several decades, opened last night Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest 2023. Celelalte Cuvinte followed, who seem to have discovered the elixir of youth. The band with extensive musical experience still sounds as good and has the same overflowing energy on stage. Brezoi’s setlist featured and even debuted singles from their latest album, released this year. Krypton, the group founded by Eugen Mihăescu in 1984, took the stage of the festival with their new soloist, Dragoș Moldovan, and showed explosive energy.
The evening and the festival ended with three bands that gave Romania some of the most beautiful and beloved immortal songs. Compact with Paul Ciuci reminded people of the wonderful hits that were passed down from one generation to another. Thousands of people present in front of a fairy-tale twilight sang along with them “The girl from the dream”, which turned 40 this year, “Song for friends” or “Another beginning”. Moments that many will keep with them from now on. They were followed by CARGO, with which the audience sang “Ploaia”, a song that celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, “Witches’ Day” and “Approape de voi”, where you can hardly refrain from shedding a tear if you are among those touched by the legacy left behind by Adrian Bărar. After moments like these, you couldn’t go home without Phoenix and the songs many of us grew up with. „Muguri de fluier”, „Strungă”, „Vremuri” or „Andrii Popa” closed the second edition of the biggest domestic rock festival in Romania.
Bikers For Humanity is not just a festival that celebrates Romanian rock music. Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest is an event about family, about friends, about coming together to create new and lasting memories, to do good, and to enjoy the music we all love and hum our hearts out to. For three days, one of the most beautiful communities of people in the country gathers in Brezoi. A place where everyone feels welcome, comfortable and free. An experience created to be lived and which can hardly be expressed in words. Three days at the end of which all the sums collected from ticket sales and BFH merchandise go directly to support the bikers, so that they can finish their fight for the humanitarian causes they have taken up.
At the end of a weekend full of good music, special moments and cool people, it can be said that the event was a real success. We can’t wait for Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest 2024!

SECOND DAY AT BIKERS FOR HUMANITY ROCK FEST 2023
Yesterday, the second evening of the Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest took place, at Brezoiul Lumii, in the presence of some of the best rock bands in Romania and thousands of spectators who partied. Once again people proved that they love rock music, in all its forms, and that Romania has one of the most beautiful rock communities. The entire line-up brought together bands from both different genres and generations. We’ve had teenage rockers who haven’t finished high school yet; to bands like ANTON who have been on stage for less than 10 years; to well-known names such as Antract; heavy metal such as Bucovina; folk hard-rock stalwarts like Dirty Shirt; or Vita de Vie, those for whom disco is still too small.
The evening started with the young people from Revolter who didn’t take care of us and broke the stage in two from the first. Although not all of them are of legal age to drive, they sing and exude a big-man energy. And if they continue like this, we really think they have every chance to make it big and we’ll keep hearing from them in the future.
Although the rain tried to dissipate our courage and party spirit, such a beautiful bunch of motorcycle rockers is hard to dissipate. It’s great to see a community of music lovers come together and stay there come rain, shine or wind. And after all, a dose of coolness is really welcome in such a hot weather.
The second band to go up on the second day of Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest 2023 was Anton. Ovidiu Anton and his colleagues stormed the festival stage and offered an impeccable show. Their setlist contained everything fans could want: familiar songs, tracks from the upcoming album they will release in the spring of 2024, and two memorable surprises. Towards the end of the concert, Cristian Hrubaru joined the band for two special songs. They performed “Oglinda Timpului”, Anton’s latest track, released in February. The video for the song in collaboration with the Rock FM DJ was released on Thursday, June 22, a day before the opening of the Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest. After her, together with thousands of people, the BFH anthem was sung loudly and loudly. This will truly be a priceless moment that we won’t soon forget!
Intermission sang a duet directly with the sunset. The boys gave an electrifying show that kept the audience glued to the stage like a magnet, despite the rain trying to spoil our atmosphere. They included in the set list the most loved songs that people wanted to hear and sing along with them, and the energy was really special.
Bucovina was with us last evening as well and exceeded expectations. The boys took the stage with the ease and naturalness we are used to and tore the speakers in two. Their humane and transparent way of singing, interacting with the audience and speaking directly what’s on their mind wins over people at each of their concerts. Crivăț, the soloist of the band, spoke some very emotional and beautiful words about the efforts of BFH and the work of the volunteers who work tirelessly to make all the charitable initiatives a reality.
Dirty Shirt was the penultimate band to take the stage on the second day of the festival and they managed to give a full show. The electrifying group with huge success outside the country had people dancing, jumping and singing along with them. The formed group manages to attract through several distinctive elements: the special mix coming from the contrast between the voices of Dan “Rini” Crăciun and Robert Rusz, their instrumental performance and the original way in which they manage to re-orchestrate in a rock and hard-metal manner some songs from Romanian folklore.
Vița de Vie ended the second night of Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest 2023. Immediately after we saw together the video in which we recalled the story of BFH and the humanitarian causes for which we fight, Adrian Despot wished them “Good evening!” to the thousands of fans who not only persevered admirably despite the late hour, but even proved that they had some secret reserves of energy with which they sang, jumped, screamed, danced until the last song. Of course, it’s hard not to want to sing and have fun on “Basul si cu tumba mare”, “Iamma”, “Stardust”, “Luna si noi”, or “Varza”, a song where Despot he even got a cabbage from one of the people in the audience last night.
We want to thank you at every opportunity, you, those who come and join us in our humanitarian mission! We remind you that all the sums collected from the sale of tickets or from the sales of BFH merchandise are a direct aid to the motorcycle team to complete the humanitarian missions they are fighting for.
We welcome you back to Brezoiul Lumii tonight, June 25, where we want to close this year’s edition of Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest 2023 together in a big way! With us on stage, we have: Phoenix, Cargo, Compact Paul Ciuci, Celealte Cuvinte, Krypton and Gothic.
Together we are Bikers for Humanity!
FIRST DAY AT BIKERS FOR HUMANITY ROCK FEST 2023
We couldn’t wait to see you again at the second edition of Bikers For Humanity, the biggest local rock festival in Romania. And we were overjoyed to see how many thousands of people were with us on the first day of the festival, last evening, June 23. We were lucky with excellent weather, a phenomenal line-up and an amazing audience that we can only thank for the wonderful energy they showed!
The day kicked off with the guys from Electric Humidity breaking the ice in a big way. This is also one of the things that makes us the happiest at this festival. The fact that, together with big Romanian rock bands, we have the opportunity to bring to the audience young rockers, at the beginning of their journey, who have fantastic potential and who we will keep hearing about in the future. After all, the great thing about rock music has always been that it manages to bring people from all corners of the world and all age groups together.
The evening continued in great style with Civis Rebels, Bucium and Altar. Each of them plays a different style of rock, tackles different instruments in concert and although they have their own energy, they share a passion for music, a desire to give their best to the people who come to see them and a professionalism that I show in everything I do.
Whoever came last night or last year to the Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest knows that this event is an experience that must be lived and that is difficult to express in words. The three days at Brezoiul Luimii are not only about music. They are about so much more: a close-knit and big-hearted biker family who come together and put their shoulder to work to organize these humanitarian days, a sea of friendly spectators who gather to spend time together and create unforgettable memories to good music, all in a superb natural setting that Brezoiul offers. Add to that, of course, the fact that everything that happens here is intended for the causes for which the BFH team is fighting. All money raised on these days goes directly to less fortunate people who need a hope of a better life.
The evening ended with Alternosfera and an incendiary Trooper show in front of thousands of people wearing Bikers For Humanity T-shirts. We encourage people to visit our friends at Calare Pe Duă Roți merchandise stand. As with festival tickets, the money raised from merchandise helps us take the BFH story forward and reach as many of those who need us as possible.
The atmosphere of the first evening was legendary when people sang in unison, shouted, danced, waved the flags of the BFH, of Romania or of the Rep. Moldova, or they formed a sea of lights. And although the night was not without some technical failures, we thank those who showed support and understanding in the face of situations that arise, independently of our desire.
The best moment of the evening was probably awarding the title of Bikers For Humanity Ambassadors to the guys from Trooper. We are grateful to them for everything they have done for us all these years and we are glad to have them with us on this journey on two wheels.
We can’t wait to see you again tonight at the second night of Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest together with Vița De Vie, Dirty Shirt, Bucovina, Antract, Anton and Revolter. Also, don’t forget that tomorrow June 25th we see PhoeFirst day of Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest 2023
