This is what our invitation to the entire Romanian motorcycle community sounds like: “Bikers For Humanity invites you to the last donation, before voting! ”
And so it was! Motorcyclists from across the country met at blood transfusion centers in their cities.
Among them and Bârlad, Buzău and Suceava shouted present at the mobilization.
In Bucharest we met at 10 o’clock, in front of the Bucharest Blood Transfusion Center. The vouchers obtained as a result of blood and plasma donation actions were to be turned into Santa Claus gifts for 25 children from three villages in Prahova County and Brașov County.
December 5, 2020
With the vouchers collected after the blood and plasma donation, from Bucharest and with the support of some wonderful people, who have or are not related to the motorcycle, we collected toys, clothes, food and especially winter shoes for some children from Seciu – jud Prahova, Plopeni – Prahova county and Holbav – Brașov county.
On Saturday morning, I left a convoy of 6 cars.
I made the first stop in Seciu, where a family with 4 small children, a mother with cancer, lives. In addition to food, toys, clothes, etc., we made a commitment to put the tiles and the parquet in the small room with kitchen, from the street, recently built by www.unactdebunatate.ro.
The next stop was in Plopeni, Prahova County. 3 children received gifts, including a laptop for online school.
Then we went to Holbav.
Well … here, the notion of poverty has taken on a different meaning, the most difficult to understand. Santa was visiting a family with 4 children, one with 9 children and one with 3 children. It’s hard to explain in words how we felt when we saw the conditions of those people living in 2020. It’s hard to explain in words what their reaction was when they saw so many gifts, so many cars, so many strangers in their womb.
We had the privilege of meeting another group of cool people united by a passion… off road. Arányi Noémi, thank you and your friends for guiding us to these families. And what are you doing for the troubled people in the area, for so long… down the hat.
The last family I visited, the fourth, was in the barracks. That’s where we knocked out … Since it’s Bikers for Humanity Romania, we’ve seen special social cases, but those children in the barracks – their eyes, their poverty – are hard to digest.
We will contact Noemi again, we have to do something … The money is scarce, the project in Râmnicu Sărat is in full swing, but we MUST find a solution for the “family in the barracks”.
It didn’t matter that late at night, when we got to our houses, we were as dirty as pigs, cold, hungry, tired. We assure you that each of us fell asleep thinking of those children from Holbav, whom Santa Claus did not forget… the authorities (sorry for the expression), yes.
To all those involved, to those who have beaten their veins all over the country, to those who have taken care to bring that drop of happiness to those souls tormented by fate, with all their hearts: Thank you!
Happy Holidays!
Together we are Bikers for Humanity!
