BIKERS FOR HUMANITY ROCK FEST 2022 was a loud and real success! At „Brezoiul Lumii”, bikers, rockers and people with big hearts, had 3 days and 3 nights of fun. Even if we’ve had some … (it was our first time) and some technical sound issues at Trooper (for Hrubaru’s despair😊), things went great, with joy and the feeling that everybody was friends with everybody. More than that, we were all there to have fun and help others. As promised, the Live Music Summer Camp Brezoimanagers will donate the profit made by selling the tickets to Bikers For Humanity România, for the Nucsoara event. The bikers volunteers will build a cottage with an astronomic observatory for 400 kids from disadvantaged backgrounds, cared for by friends from the Asociația Casa Bună, , led by Valeriu Nicolae.

BIKERS FOR HUMANITY ROCK FEST DAY 1
On Friday (on 24th of June), little by little, by noon, the sound of the motorcycles and the soundchecks were announcing the beginning of a great weekend in Brezoi. Around 6 PM the first concert begin, with the terrible guys from REVOLVER (Sibiu). They broke the ice! They were followd by ROADKILL SODA, ZOB and TIMPURI NOI. The night ended in a gigantic manner, in front of 4000 people, with a great show from CARGO. By the same occasion, the KNIGHTS, were the first to receive the distinction of „Bikers for Humanity Romania Official Ambassadors”! All the great hits of the band were sang, and at „Ploaia”, the event’s MC, Cristian Hrubaru (Rock FM), was invited by the main singer, Adi „Baciu” Igrișan, to sing along. Band’s old friend, radio DJ and the initiator of Bikers for Humanity Romania, clearly excited, let to the public the pleasure of singing along, one of the most popular Romanian rock ballad ever writen. It was a night to remember… which continued with a rock after party in the giant designated tent.
Nobody wanted to go to sleep.

BIKERS FOR HUMANITY ROCK FEST DAY 2
On Saturday (on June 26th), at noon the soundchecks started. The heat was slowly taking over the Summer Camp Brezoi. Some chose to have a sunbath, others chose hiking or riding, in the spectacular landscape which was so offering for the bikers. At 6 PM the second festival night strongly begins: CASH band brought the public in front of the scene very quickly. These guys really know how to do their job, it was a menace. Then, ANTON followed, which leader, OVIDIU ANTON, wrote a few years ago the hymn of Bikers for Humanity Romania. „Inevitable”, Hrubaru was invited to join them on the stage, when the hymn was sang along with the numerous public.
After them, the heavy artillery has come: BUCOVINA, TROOPER and IRIS – C Minculescu, Valter & Boro. Beside the rock pogo, generated by Crivăț and his gang, along the concert, Florin Țibu donated his most beloved rock jacket, which he wore more than 13 years, on the motorcyvle, on the stare or even on… the scooter! 😁 It is not a joke! The famous jacket was put on auction by Bikers For Humanity Romania, to support the action from Nucșoara. Trooper followed! It was clear that in the Brezoi you could not read clearly at that hour. Trooper is one of the first bands to support bikes actions, since the first second of its existence. Coiotu’ once donated the mic with which he first played on a stage, Balauru’ donated guitar lessons, plus many messages of support from the band. It was delirium! The audience sang and shuddered throughout the show. Hrubaru was invited on stage at „Două Roți”. Guess what came out! 😁The boys left the stage with a smile on their face and sat at pictures and autographs with the fans until late… with each one!
The evening ended with IRIS – Cristi Minculescu Valter și Boro. Arround 5,000 people sang note by note, piece by piece, with vetereans. Cristi’s happiness could be read on his face and he sang as he sang as he didn’t do it every weekend, three times sometimes. „Baby”, „Somn Bizar”, „Floare de Iris”, all the big songs were heard in Summer Camp and in the mountains of the Brezoiului Lumii!

BIKERS FOR HUMANITY ROCK FEST DAY 3
On Sunday, June 27th, the day began with some heavy clouds and inevitably the rain has come. We prayed to all the Saints and to those, up there, ”responsible with rain”, to stop the bad weather and be sunny again in the third day of the festival. It was according to the people’s kindness, the sun came out after 7PM and we started therock festival. The first band was also the only band with a feminine voice from the event, WILDSIDE from Bucharest. It was a blast, plenty of people has gathered in front of the stage. The climax was when they sang a cover of Trooper, „Două Roți”, calling Balauru’, Cristi Oftez and surprise… 😁Hrubaru, along with them to perform. The audience reacted wonderfully!
One of the very pleasant surprises of the festival was the people from Vâlcea from CIVIC REBELS. Not only did they sing sensationally, but the audience found out on this occasion that the band recently released an album and that the band members are constantly concerned with the release of young local talents. They sang with manhood, boldness and love for the public.
Then we put the “cannons” on the audience again. CELELALTE CUVINTE followed, with the unleashed leader Călin Pop and an audience familiar with each song of the band. There was already a lot of people and delirium in front of the stage. Older and newer songs were sung, and at the end he left with Bis.
Than COMPACT and Paul Ciuci followed, another band close to Bikers For Humanity. Among the latest items put up for auction for the actions of volunteer bikers, there is a pair of “tournament sneakers” with Paul’s autograph and a set of strings personalized with the picture of the soloist COMPACT. Needless to say, it was sensational? That everyone, regardless of age, sang all the songs released by this huge Romanian hit factory? It was WOW! „Cântec pentru prieteni” with Hrubaru, „Fata din vis”, „Tu ești totul pentru mine”, „O noapte și-o zi”, „Am curaj”, all those cool songs that many of us have fond memories of. 3,000 people hummed their songs at Summer Camp Brezoi, even as COMPACT stepped off the stage. Everyone would have wanted even more… at least one night and one day! 😁 Naturally, Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest, the first edition, could only end with LEGEND. When Nicu Covaci stepped on stage and spoke to the audience, people fell silent for a few seconds. After a cordial greeting and a few words, Nicu invited his outlaws on stage: Costin Adam, Cristi Gram, Flaviu, Vladi and Lavinia Săteanu. Then they unleashed! All the songs that made history in Romanian culture were sung, along with a sensational audience, who did not go to bed even at two o’clock in the morning. Even if the little ones were sleepy, if one told them to go to sleep, one could cause a scandal.
They sang and played until dawn.

Tired but happy, that evening, we who set up this event, packed all the things and stuff and spent time together until the morning. We are convinced that all the people who were in Brezoi, that weekend, went home happy for they had fun and helped in the same time!
Throughout the event, the IGSU Mobile Emergency Training Center for Emergency Response was present at the festival. The employees of the Inspectorate sent in a press release as follows:
„With the support of the Department for Emergency Situations, between June 24-26, the employees of the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations General Magheru of Vâlcea County carried out in Brezoi, a training action for citizens with the help of the Mobile Training Center for Response in emergency situations.
The action took place during the Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest 2022 event, organized in the city of Brezoi, where 875 people participated in the organized trainings.
The mobile center is equipped with intelligent equipment that simulates complex emergencies, such as house fires, a package for extreme weather conditions or realistic simulation of an earthquake and how it is perceived in a house or a apartment.
Through its objective of preparing the population, the mobile center has the role of improving the ability to identify and reduce hazards, so as to reduce the number of accidents in homes. During the training session, participants were offered several scenarios for fire prevention, hazard recognition technologies and multimedia effects, being designed to be able to provide exposure in situations as close to reality as possible.
The mobile training center for the population for emergency response is part of the steps taken by DSU and IGSU, together with “Caravan Be prepared”, to prepare the population for a prompt, adequate and effective response in various emergencies.”
The money, from the profit obtained from the sale of tickets for this festival, will help Bikers for Humanity Romania volunteers to build a cottage with an astronomical observatory, in Nucșoara, Argeș County! The same goes for t-shirts, bandanas, everything with our insignia. Thank you for wearing them, not only honoring us, but also giving the support to the building of a new dream.
