Bran, BV – 2023

Date

Another BFH annual edition has successfuly ended. The 7th edition took place in Bran, Brașov County.

This year, Bikers for Humanity Romania joined a noble endeavor, together with the Branul Nostru Association. The volunteer motorcyclists put their shoulder to the construction of two buildings intended for disadvantaged families (30 people, including children, elderly people or people with locomotor disabilities), who currently live in improvised and unsanitary housing, in the vicinity of a major tourist attraction, Bran castle.
On the land in Predeluț, made available by Bran City Hall, in addition to the two buildings, with several individual housing units, in the near future Bran City Hall plans to build a waste collection and sorting center, so that the beneficiaries of the homes erected by volunteers , to find a job and to be able to cover their maintenance expenses.
In this way, the place next to the Castle will be re-included in the tourist circuit, where there is a replica of the famous Stela Maris Chapel, from Balcic, but also the “Inima Reginei” Field Hospital, a community hospital that also took care of the wounded from the of the second world war.
Bikers For Humanity provided some of the materials (thanks Lindab and Xella!) and very importantly, labor. As happened last year at the foundation casting in Nucșoara, the volunteer motorcyclists put their shoulder to work on two weekends: July 21-23 and August 4-6.
In the first weekend, BFH volunteers raised the upper floors of the two buildings and started repairing the roof of the cultural home in Simon, the place where many children carry out artistic activities. In the second weekend, all the objectives set for #BFHBran2023 were completed, closing the roof of the two houses, compartmentalizing the living spaces, pouring concrete around the buildings, restoring the roof of the Şimon Home. 430 bikers and friends from all over the country joined forces and wrote another important chapter in the tradition of Bikers For Humanity.

We thank all our sponsors and partners in this edition:
