Bikers For Humanity is organizing its annual blood donation drive this Saturday at the Blood Transfusion Center in Ploiești. Donors will receive, in exchange for the cards received upon donation, a subscription to Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest 2026!
Bikers for Humanity Romania joins the #RomaniaHaveRockerBlood campaign, initiated by Morning Glory with Răzvan Exarhu and Rock FM, through a massive donation drive at the Ploiești Blood Transfusion Center, which will take place on Saturday, May 16.
Volunteers from Bucharest will gather at 8:30 a.m., at the traditional location – the MOL gas station at the Mogoșoaia roundabout. At 9:00 a.m., the motorcyclist column will set off towards Ploiești.
For those arriving from other cities, the meeting takes place directly at the Ploiești Blood Transfusion Center, which opens its doors at 8:00 a.m. The organizers recommend that donors begin the formalities immediately upon arrival to streamline the process.
The aim of the action is to support patients in dire need of blood. Transfusion centers often face a blood shortage, blood transfusions being an essential procedure in situations such as serious accidents and major surgeries, and also necessary in the treatment of oncological patients. Donating blood is a simple but extremely valuable gesture that can directly contribute to saving lives.
All persons wishing to donate blood are asked to inform themselves in advance about the criteria necessary to be admitted as donors.
Donors have a guaranteed spot at Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest!
This year, the noble gesture of donating comes with a fitting reward for live music fans. The card obtained from donating blood can be exchanged on the spot for a subscription to Bikers for Humanity Rock Fest V – Anniversary Edition, which will take place between June 18 and 21, 2026, in Brezoi, Vâlcea.
Beyond the acute need for blood in hospitals, the campaign also has a vital social component. The value cards offered by donors to BFH will be used entirely to purchase the products needed for the “Survival Kit”. These kits are provided by the ANAIS Association to people who are victims of domestic violence and need a safe start in a new life. Among the items included in the kit are: hygiene products (toothpaste and toothbrush, absorbents, shower gel, shampoo, hair conditioner, face and hand cream, body lotion, deodorant, wipes, baby diapers, razors), as well as cleaning products (laundry detergent, bathroom and kitchen sanitizing products, cloths and sponges).
Biker or not, rocker or not, everyone is invited and welcome to the blood donation on May 16th, at the Ploiești Blood Transfusion Center.
