Nearly 200 volunteers donated blood in Ploiești, responding to the call of Bikers for Humanity and offering a chance at life to hundreds of patients.
On Saturday, May 24, at the Blood Transfusion Center in Ploiești, an impressive act of solidarity and civic engagement took place, organized by Bikers for Humanity Romania. Nearly 200 volunteers responded to the call and chose to donate blood, thus offering a chance at life to hundreds of patients in Romanian hospitals.
In a single day, dozens of liters of blood were collected thanks to those who dedicated their time and gave a resounding “yes” to a noble cause. The atmosphere at the transfusion center was charged with positive energy, determination, and a sincere desire to help.
As a token of gratitude, all donors received a ticket to the Bikers For Humanity Rock Fest in Brezoi, a symbolic gesture that rewards their involvement and civic spirit. Donors will enjoy a weekend of high-quality rock music and the natural surroundings of the festival venue from June 20 to 22.
In addition to its life-saving gesture, the event also had a strong educational dimension. Dr. Hanganu, from the Ploiești Blood Transfusion Center, emphasized the long-term impact that such initiatives can have:
“Bikers For Humanity is an example. Through these actions, they are educating people. It is not just a civic gesture for society, but also an example for young people—a model for those who want to learn to give back to society something of what they receive.”
This action is not an isolated event, but part of a constant effort by Bikers for Humanity to support communities in Romania through actions, not just words.
